Substitute Teacher in various Madrid locations

We are looking for substitute teachers to cover shifts in our Madrid locations at La Casita de Inglés. As a substitute you can cover shifts when needed (we need substitutes most days) but are never obligated to cover a shift unless you have previously agreed to do so, although there is a 4 shift/month minimum requirement. This is a great, flexible way to begin working with La Casita! You will also have priority for any permanent shifts that open up throughout the year, as well as the opportunity to work at our many daycamps and workshops.

Salary: Our after-school program runs from the final week of September til the beginning of June on:

• Monday - Friday 17:30 - 19:30 (15 euros / hour after tax)
• Saturday mornings 11:00 - 13:00 (20 euros / hour after tax)

About Us: Here at La Casita de Inglés, we believe that learning should be fun and that play is paramount. We teach English to children through games, arts & crafts, singing, dancing, baking and much more! Materials and planning are provided, and classes are small and interactive with a maximum of 8 students per group. Students are aged from 3-12.

What we’re looking for:

• Fun, creative and enthusiastic teachers who love working with kids
• You must have one year’s experience teaching or working with children in some capacity.
• You must have a C2/native/bilingual level of English and accent regardless of nationality. This means that all nationalities are welcome, as long as your spoken English is at a native/bilingual level.
• You must have permission to work in Spain (student visa, work permit, EU/Spanish resident, etc.). You must also have a Spanish Social Security Number (NSS) and a background check (Certificado de Delitos de Naturaleza Sexual). IMPORTANT: If you do not have any of these documents at the time of application, you will still be considered, as long as you obtain them before you begin working with us.
